Wrong-way Driver Dies in Collision with UPS Big Rig

Sylmar – A wrong-way driver was killed early Thursday in a fiery crash with a UPS big rig, reports said.

The driver of the car died on the spot, while the UPS semi truck was forced towards the center divider.

The mishap occurred at about 2:15 a.m. just east of the exit at Roxford Street. It led to the closure of all westbound lanes and two eastbound lanes along the 210 Freeway.

Other motorists were rerouted to the Polk Street exit.

Authorities expect the freeway to reopen around 7:30 a.m.
