Woman Killed After Car Crashes into Store

Compton - A woman was killed on Monday afternoon when a car suddenly lost control and crashed into a liquor store in Compton, authorities said.

According to police report, the accident occurred at around 2:15 pm along Compton boulevard when a car plowed the street and smashed into a store where the victim was shopping inside.

Authorities said the driver is already detained but declined to reveal further information.

The name of the victim was also withheld.

Meanwhile, two people were also hurt but police are not sure if they are passersby or customers inside the liquor store.

Authorities are now conducting an investigation to identify the cause of the accident.
