January 28, 2010
Orange – An unidentified 24-year-old woman had to be extricated from her Buick for almost an hour after a head-on collision near Jamestown Way recently, authorities said.
Reports indicate that the woman was travelling along the eastbound lanes of Santiago Canyon Road when, for unknown reasons, she suddenly veered to the opposite lane causing a head-on collision with a Porsche Cayenne.
The 33-year-old driver of the westbound Porsche sustained moderate injuries while the driver of the Buick remains to be in critical condition after being airlifted to a hospital.
Authorities shut down the Santiago Canyon Road as they investigate the accident that is either caused by intoxication or a medical condition.
