Vehicle strikes two Canoga Park High Students

San Fernando Valley, CA - Two female teenagers who are studying at the Canoga Park High School were struck by a vehicle early in the morning at the Canoga Park.
Diana Igawa of the Los Angeles Fire Department said the girls, who appeared to be 14 or 15 years old were hit at the Topanga Canyon Boulevard and Bassett Street at around 7:42 a.m.
As shown in the statement the school sent to the parents, the two girls were waiting for three other students to cross the street when the incident occurred.
In addition, the statement said that the parents of both girls were notified and went to the scene where the incident took place.
The two girls were alert and oriented at the scene,” said Igawa. The two were taken to the hospital wherein their condition remains unavailable.
Meanwhile, the driver of the vehicle that struck the girls stayed at the scene and was questioned by the investigators.
