Huntington Beach – Two sports cars crashed into a marsh after colliding with each other last night in Huntington Beach.

According to Huntington Beach police, the car accident occurred at about 10:15 pm when a Corvette rear-ended an Infiniti G35 sedan on the Pacific Coast Highway.

The Corvette, which was driven by 52-year old Melvin Brown of Garden Grove, was weaving in and out of traffic at about 150 mph before crashing to the back of the Infiniti.

The impact of the collision sent both cars into a nearby wetland that was adjacent to Bolsa Chica State Beach.

One witness dove into the water and rescued Brown.

Brown and the Infiniti’s driver were transported to a nearby hospital after sustaining non life-threatening injuries.

Brown was later booked on suspicion of driving under the influence.
