Los Angeles - At least two Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) officers sustained minor injuries after avoiding a collision and landed on two parked cars near Florence.
Reports said the LAPD officers were heading to an emergency crime scene when an oncoming car cut off their way. The officers tried to veer and hit a curb. The car flung through the air, smashed through a brick wall and iron fence. It landed on two cars in shopping mall parking lot, reports added.
The patrol car had its siren and lights on when the red car crossed out their way at the intersection of Vermont Avenue and Florence on Friday at 11 a.m., according to authorities.
The LAPD officers were rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment of their minor injuries. There was no reported driver or passenger inside the two parked car.
Authorities were still investigating the details on the cause of the accident. The red car driver was not yet given a citation.
