CAR CRASH: Suspected Drunken Driver Arrested after Pacific Coast Fatal Crash

Riverside - Authorities have arrested a suspected drunken driver following a deadly crash that occurred along Pacific Coast (1) Highway in Dana Point.

Reports stated that Rigoberto Mendoza, 20, from San Juan Capistrano, may have been speeding when he suddenly lost control of the Honda he was driving and slammed into a palm tree.

The driver’s 24-year-old male passenger, from Lake Elsinore, was brought to a nearby hospital where he was announced dead, said reports.

Authorities have not yet released the victim’s name.
