Suspected Drunk SUV Driver Kills Toddler in Rialto

SAN BERNARDINO – Authorities have arrested the man involved in fatal car crash that killed a two-year child and injured three other family members in Rialto. The suspected drunken driver of the sport utility vehicle (SUV) reportedly lost control of his vehicle while fleeing the scene of a nearby hit-and-run crash when he went onto a sidewalk and struck the family.

Rialto police identified the 27-year-old driver as Jesse Rolando Astorga.

Meanwhile, the San Bernardino County coroner's office identified the lone fatality as Josslyn Dinoso-Brooks. She was pronounced dead at a hospital less than an hour after the crash.

Her parents were identified as William Dean Dinoso, 28, and Glenda Brooks, 26. Both parents and the boy are hospitalized with broken bones and internal injuries.

The suspect faces multiple charges including suspicion of vehicular manslaughter. His bail was set at $ 1 million.
