Covina – A Los Angeles County Sheriff’s deputy and another person were injured after a collision at an intersection in Covina.
According to a witness, the deputy was attempting to make a left turn onto Vincent Avenue from Cypress Avenue when his squad car collided with a 1995 Honda Civic which was traveling west through the intersection.
The deputy and the driver of the Honda Civic were taken to the Queen of the Valley Hospital through an ambulance, the Sheriff’s Department Officials said.
Sgt. Ramirez said “Both parties were ok, but just as precaution they were transported to the hospital.”
Both the deputy’s and the other driver’s identities were not disclosed as more investigations on the cause of the crash were needed.
The driver of the Honda Civic was described by friends as a 21-year-old from West Covina.
