CAR ACCIDENT: Rio Linda Collision - 1 dead, 5 injured

Rio Linda – A 45-year-old woman was killed and five other persons were hurt in a high-speed collision in Rio Linda, Tuesday night.
The woman, identified as Christine Ann Ingle by the Sacramento County Coroner’s Office, was found dead on the spot after her Ford Explorer crashed with a speeding Mercedes at around 10:12 p.m. at the intersection of C and 16th streets.
According to the California Highway Patrol, Ingle was going north on 16th street while the other driver was traveling eastbound on C street at about 70 to 100 mph when the accident happened.
CHP says the driver of the Mercedes failed to hit the brakes at the stop sign and hit the Ford Explorer at the side.
The injured all suffered major injuries and were brought to Mercy San Juan Medical Center and UC Davis Medical Center.
The authorities are still investigating the incident.
