Pedestrian Dies in a Hit and Run Accident

Los Angeles, CA - A pedestrian was killed after being involved in a hit and run accident last Monday morning.
According to the Los Angeles Police Department, Charles Ernest Lawson, 55, was crossing Oxnard Street, west of Donna Avenue when he was hit by a car traveling east at around 5:40 a.m. and was then hit by another car.
Police said that the driver of the first car stopped and gave help but the other driver stopped momentarily and then took off.
The accident is currently under investigation.
