CAR ACCIDENT: Ojai man injured in Ventura car crash

Ventura – A 21-year-old man was badly injured after his car crashed into a cement barrier along Highway 33, in Ventura, at about 1:30 a.m. today.

According to the authorities, Dustin Alan Husted was driving southbound on Highway 33 near Stanley Avenue when he lost control of the vehicle, went into the center divider, and finally hitting a cement barrier.

Dusted was brought to Ventura County Medical Center to treat his fractured skull, facial lacerations, and fractured nose injuries, said Officer Steve Reid, spokesperson of the California Highway Patrol’s Ventura office.

He was initially arrested by the authorities on suspicion of driving under alcohol influence, but was later taken to the hospital because of his injuries.
