CAR ACCIDENT: NCIS Hunk Michael Weatherly Faces Car Accident Lawsuit

Los Angeles- NCIS icon Michael Weatherly is facing a lawsuit from the other driver involved in his October 2010 car crash.

According to reports on Thursday, Ivan Romeo Mendez has filed a personal injury suit against Weatherly, alleging the actor has committed a negligent act and was responsible for his injuries. He was seeking more than $80,000 as compensation for his medical expenses, property loss, and wage loss.

The actor was traveling in Barham Pass when his Mercedes collided with Mendez' BMW in October 1, 2010. Weatherly sustained minor injuries while Mendez suffered neck and back injuries. The Dark Angel star exchanged information with the other driver and cooperated with authorities, reports said.

Weatherly has been popular for his role as Anthony DiNozzo in NCIS since 2003. He garnered a "Best Supporting Actor in a Television Series" nomination for his role as Logan Cale in Dark Angel in 2001 and 2002.
