Motorcycle Collides With Truck, Driver Badly Injured

San Bernardino- A Victorville motorcyclist was badly hurt after colliding with a pickup truck near Bear Valley and Amethyst Roads, on January 8.

The 20-year old motorcyclist, whose name was not released, was driving a 1992 Yamaha motorcycle on Bear Valley and Amethyst Roads when a 58-year old motorist in a Chevy extended cab pickup, turned in front of him, 3:30 p.m.

According to a statement of San Bernardino County officials, the Chevy pulled out of driveway on the north side of Bear Valley and tried to turn left, causing the driver of the motorcyclist to hit the door of the truck.

The motorcyclist suffered broken bones and possible injuries and was airlifted to Loma Linda University Medical Center.
