CAR CRASH: Mother died, 2 injured in LA car crash

Los Angeles - A mother was killed and two others were injured after a car crash at the intersection of Pellissier Place and Peck Road on Monday.

Romina Polanco, 47 years old, died instantly after her car crashed onto a tree at 3 pm while Breandin Polanco, her son, and passenger Matt Munoz sustained critical injuries, reports said.

Los Angeles Police officers said that Breandin, the driver of the other vehicle, was speeding and eventually lost control on the wheels when crossing the LA intersection.

Police reports indicated that the driver might have been arguing with his mother when the accident happened. The two were airlifted to Los Angeles County-USC Medical Center.

Breandin and Matt Munoz were writers at El Paisano newspaper.
