PEDESTRIAN ACCIDENT: Mother Dies, Daughter in Critical Condition when Hit by Car

Acton - A 43-year-old mother, from Acton, died while her daughter is in a critical condition after they were hit by a car along Antelope Woods Road, near Antelope Valley (14) Freeway and Crown Valley Road.
California Highway Patrol (CHP) identified the woman as Missy Durnell.
Durnell and her two daughters were walking south along Antelope Woods when the accident happened.
The mother and her 9-year-old daughter were reportedly hit by a silver Toyota Scion xB.
Durnell was rushed to Antelope Valley Hospital, where she was announced dead. Meanwhile, her injured daughter was flown to Childrens Hospital of Los Angeles.
Reports said the car driver Angela Hubb, 22, from Acton, stopped her vehicle, called the authorities, and remained at the scene. She was not arrested, but her vehicle was impounded for evidence.
