Male Driver Dies in Monterey Highway Solo Car Crash

San Jose – An elderly male driver died on the spot after his car crashed into a tree late Wednesday, reports said.

According to authorities, the accident took place at about 3:30 p.m.

Initial reports of the San Jose Police revealed that the man was driving a 2003 Dodge minivan along south of Monterey Highway close to Edenview Drive when he suddenly lost control of his vehicle.

Investigation regarding the reason for the crash is still ongoing.

The victim had a female passenger at the time of the mishap. She was rushed to the hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.

The name of the driver remains unreleased since his family is yet to be notified of his death.
