CAR ACCIDENT: Lake Elsinore Councilman Sentenced after Pleading Guilty to DUI Charges

Murrieta - A Lake Elsinore city councilman has been sentenced to three years of informal probation and six days in custody after he pleaded guilty to two counts of misdemeanor DUI.

According to reports, authorities arrested Thomas Buckley, 44, in November for driving under the influence of alcohol.

He reportedly had a blood-alcohol level of around .08 when the arrest was made.

Buckley’s lawyer said the councilman will serve his custody punishment in a work release program.

He was also required to pay a $1,582 fine and participate in a first-time drinking driver program, said report.
