TRUCK ACCIDENT: Idle Tow Truck Slammed by a Car near LAX, Killing 1

Los Angeles – A parked tow truck was hit by a speeding car at the Glenn Anderson Freeway, near LAX, killing a passenger and injuring three others, news reports said.

According to California Highway Patrol, the tow truck driver parked his vehicle on the right shoulder of the freeway to assist another car when a Toyota Camry barged in causing truck accident.

Reports say that the fatality who was partially ejected from the vehicle was identified as Guillermo Arevalo, 18. Three other people including the female sedan driver were rushed into a hospital due to moderate injuries.

According to CHP, attending officers recovered alcohol bottles on the scene; however, it was not clear if alcohol was the cause of the accident.
