Hit-and-Run Driver Triggers Chain Accident in I-5

Lake Forest – The California Highway Patrol (CHP) are now looking for a hit-and-run driver who caused a chain accident that injured at least 2 people on the northbound I-5 freeway north of Alicia Parkway.

According to the CHP, the multi-vehicle collision started when a blue Dodge Stealth was rear-ended by the unidentified motorist.

The collision caused the Stealth to spin and collide with a blue Dodge Charger.

The Charger then crashed into a Honda SUV that ended up in the car pool lane while the Charger wound up on the right side of the Freeway.

One person complained of a sore neck while another complained of a sore back; both were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.

The CHP has yet to release a description of the hit-and-run vehicle.
