Hit -and-run Claims Young Pedestrian’s Life in East LA

LOS ANGELES – Authorities are seeking the identity of the driver who struck and killed a nine-year old boy in East Los Angeles recently. The boy was crossing Ford Boulevard together with his family when the car accident happened.

According to California Highway Patrol reports, Jesus Sanchez was seen running behind his family when a northbound car suddenly came at high speed and struck the boy who was tossed about 50 feet forward by the impact.

Surveillance cameras in the area captured the red car with tinted rear windows and a spoiler with brake lights involved in the accident.

The camera footage showed that despite hitting the boy, the car did not stop or slowed down.

The police are making an appeal to the public to help find the erring driver.
