CAR ACCIDENT: Flipped Van Generates Heavy Traffic at 163 Freeway

San Diego — Curious motorists slowing down to take a peek of an overturned van in the middle of route 163 northbound lane has caused heavy traffic stretching for miles.

The mid-sized sports-utility vehicle was flipped over by an accident at around 7:45 a.m. at Genesee Avenue. The female driver of the SUV was found sporting only minor injuries. The traffic-jam generated by the flipped van extended as far back as downtown San Diego, with many southbound drivers also stopping or slowing down to see the cause of commotion.

A tow truck was finally dispatched to remove the SUV at around 9 a.m.
