PEDESTRIAN ACCIDENT: Elderly Man Struck and Killed by Car while Crossing Highway 216

Tulare County- A 51-year-old man, from Woodlake, died after being hit by a car while crossing Highway 216 near Woodlake, said California Highway Patrol (CHP) officers.

According to reports, the elderly pedestrian was walking east near Wells Street when he started to cross the highway. He was then struck and killed by a car that was moving west.

The driver was identified as 24-year-old Roberto Garcia. No information has yet been released regarding his condition.

Reports said the unnamed pedestrian was announced dead at the accident area.
