DUI CAR ACCIDENT: Drunk Driver Injured in La Palma Vehicle Crash

La Palma – A 46-year-old driver, suspected of driving under the influence of alcohol, has sustained injuries and was trapped inside his vehicle after a two-vehicle crash early Thursday morning, authorities said.

Kwang Lee sustained a laceration on his head and was unresponsive to officers who responded to the 2 am accident at La Palma Avenue and Walker Street. Authorities reported that they smelled alcohol while they extricated Lee and took him to a hospital.

According to the other driver, he was heading south on Walker Street when Lee’s eastbound vehicle ran a red light on La Palma Avenue and broadsided him. The driver was not injured in the accident.

Lee is expected to recover as authorities continue with their investigation on the accident.
