CAR CRASH: Drunk Driver in Easton Fatal Crash Nabbed on DUI Charges

Fresno – A 20-year-old driver is facing charges in the Easton fatal crash that killed three of his passengers Wednesday afternoon, the California Highway Patrol said.
CHP said Orlando Gomez Benitez was driving a Pontiac Sunfire when he ran a red light at around 4:30 pm and was hit by a Honda Accord at the intersection of Fig and American Avenues.
The three fatalities in the collision were identified as Blanca Gutierrez, 20, Havier Benitrez, 19, and Jessi Bautista, 18.
The two occupants of the Accord were taken to a hospital with minor to moderate injuries.
Benitez was arrested on a felony DUI charge.
