CAR ACCIDENT: Driver killed in single car accident near Riverdale

Fresno - A man was killed Thursday morning after his car crashed near Riverdale, the California Highway Patrol said.

According to reports, the driver, who was driving a 1988 Oldsmobile, ran a stop signal at Cornelia and Davis, and crashed in a ditch. He immediately died at the scene.

A farmer discovered the crash at about 7:00 in the morning. Officers said the victim was not wearing a seatbelt.

Investigators are trying to find out the exact time the accident happened.
