CAR CRASH: Deputy Hurt after Patrol Car Slams Into Tree in Lawndale

Lawndale – A Los Angeles County Sheriff’s deputy is now in stable condition after crashing his patrol car Wednesday night, authorities said.
The accident happened at Hawthorne Boulevard and Marine Avenue at around 10:30 pm. The deputy was reportedly on his way to respond to an armed robbery call when he lost control of his car and slammed into a tree.
He was trapped inside the car and was finally freed about 15 minutes later. He is now recovering in a hospital and is expected to survive. The cause of the crash is still being investigated.
