Crash Kills Hit and Run Suspect

Maywood, California – A 20-year old man fleeing from the scene of a hit-and-run accident was killed instantly when he struck a parked car and rolled over, the police reported.

According to Bell city authorities, the man was trying to evade arrest after hitting a pedestrian in a crosswalk on Heliotrope Avenue and Randolph Street when he crashed about three blocks away.

The injured pedestrian, a woman, suffered broken bones and was taken to a nearby hospital.
