Car-Truck Pile up Injures Two

Santa Clarita, CA - Two people were injured after a car-truck pile up last Wednesday.
Officials said the chain accident happened around 7:30 am which involved seven cars and a semi that collided on the southbound truck route to the 14 Freeway, injuring two people which were taken to the hospital for treatment.
According to Inspector Sam Padilla of the Los Angeles County Fire Department, the accident blocked the southbound truck route to the 5 Freeway and snarled morning traffic in the Newhall Pass for 90 minutes.
California Highway Patrol Officer Anthony Martin said that the pile up has caused the southbound traffic to back up to Calgrove Boulevard.
Two trucks moved the vehicles from the scene at 9:05 a.m. and then traffic began to flow again.
The cause of the crash is still unknown and is under investigation.
