CAR CRASH: Car Smashes on a wall, Driver Arrested

Southcrest – A car split into two after hitting a concrete wall while travelling down the southbound I-15 just after midnight Tuesday. All four people in the car miraculously survived.
Officer Art Athens, spokesman for California Highway Patrol, said that the car “… hit the concrete wall, traveled up partially onto the wall, and started sliding down where it hit a post that was holding up a freeway sign.” The car split due to impact.
Fortunately, there were no other vehicles involved. Two passengers in the backseat were thrown out o f the car and hit the pavement. The others were had to be freed from inside. They were all taken to the UCSD Medical Center and suffered only lacerations.
Andres Alcala, driver of the car, was arrested on suspicion of felony DUI.
