CAR CRASH: Car Slams into Restaurant, Diners Injured

April 12, 2010

Northridge – At least three diners were injured after a Nissan Altima crashed into a strip mall restaurant at Lindley Avenue intersection recently, reports said.

The 20-year-old woman driver of the Altima said that she was cut off by a van while attempting to turn into the parking lot shortly after 2 pm. Authorities are yet to determine whether the driver mistook the gas pedals for brakes as the vehicle accelerated to the Gyros and Pizza House.

Two female diners were rushed to Northridge Hospital where they were treated for serious injuries. A man also suffered minor injuries after shards of broken glass hit him while eating at the restaurant.

The Altima driver and her passenger were both uninjured.
