Car Injures Two Pedestrian

Visalia - Two men sustained injuries after being hit by a vehicle while they were crossing a street last Tuesday.

The accident occurred at around 6:45 p.m. when Anciano Sanchez and Miguel Herrera were crossing Willis Street near Pershing Street outside a crosswalk when they were struck by a car driven by Jose Leon Jr.

Sanchez was airlifted to Community Regional Medical Center in Fresno for treatment of head injuries and a broken leg, while Herrera, who broke a leg, was brought to Kaweah Delta District Hospital.

The accident is still under investigation.
