Car Crash Kills One in I-580

Bay City, CA - An unidentified person driving a red sedan died in a fatal collision last week near Portola Avenue exit at Interstate Highway 580, the California Highway Patrol reported.

According to the report, the lone fatality was apparently heading westbound of I-580 in Livermore, when the accident occurred at around 1 p.m.

Before the accident, the sedan had reportedly struck the center divide before going under the rear axle of a big-rig tractor-trailer truck.

In an attempt to avoid the initial accident, another vehicle, a silver Acura, also hit the center divide.
