Car Chase Ends in Crash with SUV on Highway 50

Sacramento County – A high-speed pursuit of a suspected male drunk driver in Sacramento late Wednesday ended in a collision with an SUV, reports said.

According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP) officers, the chase began when they asked the suspect to pullover his car close to Howe Avenue and Highway 50. Instead of following, the man sped off, which started the pursuit.

The suspect afterwards went out of Highway 50 through Bradshaw Road. He then tried to return to the highway by traveling east before hitting an SUV onramp.

Four passengers of the SUV sustained minor injuries, while the suspect’s passenger suffered from major head trauma. All of victims were rushed to the hospital.
