HIT-AND-RUN ACCIDENT: CHP Nabs Truck Driver Responsible for Motorcyclist’s Death in 101 Freeway

Oxnard-The California Highway Patrol (CHP) has arrested the truck driver believed to be responsible for the death of a motorcyclist in a fatal hit-and-run collision on 101 Freeway yesterday, reports said.
CHP officers said the fatal accident occurred while the truck driver changed lanes near the Del Norte road exit and hit the motorcycle rider. But instead of stopping, the truck driver kept going and tried to escape.
Fortunately, an off-duty officer saw the accident and called 911.
A pursuit ensued until it ended in short foot chase in Santa Barbara where the suspect was Tasered and finally subdued.
The suspect is now facing charges of hit-and-run and evading arrest, among others.
