The collision occurred along Holt Avenue near Garey Avenue. According to reports, both Erica Flores and Miguel Herrera died at the scene of the accident.

Results of the initial investigation showed that a 26-year-old driver identified as Lorraine Martinez, 26, was driving a stolen 2008 Infiniti at an excessive speed when it suddenly hit the couple’s 1995 Nissan Maxima.

The Maxima was making a left turn towards a restaurant at the time of the accident. The vehicle split in two, crashed into a light pole, and caught fire due to the impact, said authorities.
