PEDESTRIAN ACCIDENT: Authorities Identify Pedestrian Victim in North Highlands Fatal Accident

North Highlands– The Sacramento County Coroner’s Office identified a 29-year-old Fair Oaks man, Brandon Phillip Jones, as the fatality in a pedestrian accident that happened around 9:00 p.m. Tuesday in Watt Avenue, North Highlands.

The California Highway Patrol said that Jones was struck by a black Volkswagen driven by a 51-year-old woman near the intersection of Watt Avenue and Interstate 80. He died immediately after the incident.

CHP spokesperson Lizz Dutton affirmed that Jones was wearing dark clothes when he stepped into the lane in front of the car so the driver might not noticed him.
