ROLLOVER ACCIDENT: Arizona Man Dies in Rollover Accident in Amboy

Amboy – A 29-year-old Arizona man suffered fatal injuries Wednesday morning when his car rolled over on Amboy Road, the California Highway Patrol said.

According to the reports of the San Bernardino County Coroner’s office, Dennis Smelser, of Bullhead City, was killed instantly after he was ejected from the 1997 Infiniti he was driving on Amboy Road several miles south of National Trails Highway.

It appeared that Smelser lost control of his vehicle around 3:50 am when he drove into a curve. The Infiniti rolled over several times, ejecting the driver.

Paramedics said the victim was not wearing his seatbelt.

The CHP is still investigating other factors that might have caused the accident.
